Not Sure If Funny Or Just Stupid of the Day: This (NSFW) video from sketch group Last Call Cleveland generalizing on the nature of “female hordes” in nightclubs is amusing quite a few people judging by the number of likes its received on YouTube, but I have to admit I don’t see whatever it is they’re apparently seeing. There’s just a bit too much slut-shaming going on here for my taste.
Help me out. Is this funny?

I was enjoying the annoying yet poignant social commentary that is this video until near the end. Sexism at its best, is this little piece of art. Yes, girls go out in annoyingly large groups and drink too much and maybe aren’t quite as attractive to others while hobbling, orange-faced in a pair of too high, too tight heels. I wanted to laugh at myself and my fellow ladies, because yea, I see how silly this can look in real life. In fact, many of the superficial aspects of the club scene set in this vid. are pretty true to life. Yet, no matter which words your tone def white boy rapper voice-over uses, it is not okay to imply that girls are obviously kidding themselves when they think dressing in revealing clothing does not make them whores and it’s so infuriating that there are people who still think it’s ludicrous to accept a drink that was offered without any intention of allowing the buyer to “touch us”. I debated not reblogging this out of protest, but I’d rather assume that there are others out there who can appreciate this as entertainment as well as note that at its core the video is nothing more than blatant evidence of our misogynistic world.
